For admission to the Faculty a pass
with credit is required in seven of the subjects of the Secondary
School Certificate (Science Section), in one certificate, with one
index number and for the same specified year

To register for the
Higher Diploma degree candidates must have obtained a B.Sc. General
Degree from the University of Khartoum or it is equivalent. A
higher diploma is awarded in Applied Chemistry by courses and
research.

To register for the
M.Sc. degree candidates must have obtained a B.Sc. Honours degree
from the University of Khartoum or its equivalent, or to have
passed an M.Sc. qualifying examination. The M.Sc. degree is awarded
by research, or by courses, or jointly by courses and research, in
the following specializations: Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Geology,
Zoology and Medical Entomology.

To register for the
Ph.D. degree candidates must have obtained an M.Sc. degree from the
University of Khartoum or its equivalent. The degree is
awarded by research in all the specializations of the Faculty. The
Ph.D. degree is awarded by research only.
