Faculty Board

This confirms with statute No. 8 of the University of Khartoum act 1973 , amended 1995.
1.2.1: Definition
1. In this statue “external member means a member of the Faculty Board who is not a staff member of the University.
1.2.2 Constitution
2. By virtue of section 23(1) of University act, the Faculty Board was composed as follows:

1.

 The Dean of the Faculty: (Chairman).
2. The Vice Chancellor of the University of Khartoum
3. The Heads of Departments in the Faculty
4. The Dean, Faculty of Science.
5. Professors provided that no member should be elected from the lecturers in the Department
6. Departments where there are no professors other than the Head of the Department
7. The Faculty Representative on the Senate.
8. One elected member from each department of five or less and two elected members from each department with a staff of six or more.
9. Chief Mechanical Engineer, Sudan Railways.
10. Seven external members elected annually by the Faculty Board and eligible for re-election.
11. Director of Building and Road Research Institute.
12. Co-ordinator of the Engineering Mathematics Courses
13 Co-ordinator of the 2nd year Engineering Common Class.
