The vice president of The Republic, Mr.Ali Osman Taha, met with a delegation of Khartoum University on Sunday November 20th 2011. The delegation consisted of professor: Hayatti , the (Director of Khartoum University) ,professor: Mohammed Ahmed Abou El-Nour, ( Dean of postgraduate college) , and professor: Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahiem (Director of scientific research and cultural relations).The delegation briefed the Vice President on the recent and future status of the scientific research in the University, emphasizing that the research strategy is comporting with The National Comprehensive Strategy of the State, where the outcome of the researches is connected to community needs and demands of services in all aspects.
The delegation also affirmed that a fund for scholarships has been provided, as well as other tools and channels for effective communication and scientific publication.
The delegation of Khartoum University assured the necessity of developing the research environment focusing on the rehabilitation of central labs and setting advanced researching tools.
From his side, The Vice President confirmed the state concern, encouraging university institutions developing researches, and urged for harmonization and co-ordination between the specialized research councils in the university and the executive medical, agricultural, economical and humanitarian development sectors benefiting the scientific researches conducted by Khartoum University and finding ways for sponsoring and utilizing them.
