The Engineering Society at the Faculty of Engineering celebrated on Monday the 28th of March the final session of the debating competition between its different departments. The English Language Institute was invited by the organizing committee to act as judges in the different sessions of the debate. The finalists were from the Departments of Chemical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. Both finalists showed excellent debating skills and high level of English language fluency. The topic of the final debate was 'Multiculturalism verses Integration of Cultures'. The team from the Department of Chemical Engineering won the debate after taught competition from the team of Department of Electrical Engineering. The debate was attended by the heads of the Electrical and Chemical Engineering Departments and the Director of the English Language Institute. The director of the English Language Institute presented the winning team with presents and thanked the Engineering Society for organizing the debating competition and said that the role of the ELI is to support all students' activities in English Language.
