The Self Evaluation and Quality Administration exists to promote and enhance excellence and innovation in learning and teaching, scientific research and community development activities offered by the University of Khartoum by maintaining sound academic and administrative standards and by encouraging continuing improvement in the quality of these standards.
Mission
The Self Evaluation and Quality Administration is committed to distinction in learning & teaching, scientific research and community development activities, it recognizes the central importance of self evaluation and quality assurance in developing and sustaining excellence and innovation in these activities. It will play a leading role in developing and fostering a coherent culture of quality in all the university activities in line with the highest international standards to enhance the university to execute its mission and objectives.
Objectives, Responsibilities and duties:
- To spread the Self Evaluation and Quality culture among the university’s staff and beneficiaries outside the university.
- To adopt principles, criteria, benchmarks for program and institutional evaluation in the different university faculties, schools institutes, centers and administrations.
- To prepare the program and institutional evaluation documents for the different university faculties, schools, institutes centers and administrations.
- To train the university’s staff on self-evaluation and quality processes.
- To coordinate and follow-up the performance of the Self Evaluation and Quality units at the different university faculties, schools, institutes, centers and administrations so as to make sure that they adhere to the adopted evaluation and quality principles.
- To provide technical and logistic support to the different Self Evaluation and Quality Units to execute their functions.
- To review and coordinate the different Self Evaluation and Quality Units reports so as to summit the final report to the university administration with suitable recommendations and solutions.
- To establish a data base for the university activities.
- To adopt quality benchmarks and quality criteria suitable for program and institutional quality evaluation.
- To support research in self-evaluation and quality to be conducted by the different Self Evaluation and Quality Units in the university.
- To design and develop the human resource development training programs in the field of self Evaluation and Quality.
- To highlight the different activities which are conducted by the Self Evaluation and Quality administration and units.
- To provide the university administration with data and information about the university performance and academic progress to enable it to take the appropriate decisions.
- To conduct research on the interests, needs, opinions and expectations of the beneficiaries and stakeholders of the university outputs.
- To coordinate with The National Agency for Self-Evaluation and Accreditation in the Sudan.
- To establish links with the different local, regional and international administrations, organizations and agencies working in the field of self-evaluation and quality.
